I laughed out loud at this. I swear the Great Intelligence must have been really confused. I was confused for a moment.

Doctor Who Series 4: The Doctor’s Daughter
that chair looks familiar……
Run you clever boy. And remember.
Holy crap. I was just thinking today when the Doctor and Clara were holding hands, that she looked like his daughter or something (even though he doesn’t look old).
Ooooor it could just be the prop department being poor…
Doctor Who 7x09 and Sherlock 2x03 : Same location.
I have this theory incoporated in a fic of mine but it’ll take years to finish so I’m just going to blurt it out now. I think that the Doctor’s name will be the key that unlocks the Last Great Time War, which was ‘timelocked’. Like somehow the memory of his name will be enough to open the rift at the heart of the Medusa Cascade and all the horrible stuff from the war will just pour out and consume the universe, if the scumbag Timelords didn’t turn everyone to primordial soup first. This is why the Doctor’s name must never be spoken, this is why the Doctor will cause the universe to end, and why silence must fall.
Also, am I the only one who can’t stop thinking of Donna? I mean her memories of the Doctor are only merely sealed, not fully wiped away. So shouldn’t she also remember the Doctor’s name?
If this theory turns out to be true remember, you heard it here first ;D
it’s the oldest story in the universe, this one or any other.
That is uncalled for

Favorite Companion: Donna Noble
I just want you to know that there are worlds out there safe in the sky because of her. That there are people living in the light, singing songs of Donna Noble, a thousand million light-years away. They will never forget her, while she can never remember.
As requested by somethingtosqueeabout.

Darken the city, night is a wire
Steam in the subway, earth is afire
That’s right Donna you sass him right there. Teach him that you don’t walk away when it matters.
My theory is that Clara’s ‘mystery’ is that she is going to become (or has become, depending on your view) a weapon against the Doctor (yes, similar to River - let no one say Moffat doesn’t recycle his ideas).
There’s a lot of timey-wimey here and self-fulfilling prophecies and even I’m confusing myself a little, but I need to flesh this out!
So presentday!Clara is the real Clara, born of normal parents and is exactly as we see her. So she travels with the Doctor in time and space, and through this, the Great Intelligence is very much aware of her and her importance to the Doctor. We can assume that it survived being turned to rain (as it appears in The Bells of Saint John), and that it still picked up on the Doctor’s memories and Clara’s two strange lives while Clara was dying.
So the Great Intelligence (as a near-omnipotent being that has lived most likely linearly through time and isn’t shooting in the dark of time and space for her like the Doctor) somehow finds Clara in the present day, jacks up her Wi-Fi, and possibly even supplied her with the Doctor’s number so that she’d call him and establish the connection, thus setting into motion her travels with him.
So one day presentday!Clara is captured, possibly with the Great Intelligence and the Daleks working together (or more likely, using each other) and becoming far more powerful (which would explain the giant fleet of Daleks that no one seemed to explain in Asylum of the Daleks).
To create (or fufill) her timeline, her mind and her body are ripped from each other, the mind placed into a Dalek shell, and her body sent back to the Victorian era. Her mind being put into a Dalek shell and her purpose as a weapon makes more sense than the genetic-purity-obsessed-and-totally-racist/speciest Daleks suddenly deciding to ‘convert’ her into a Dalek. Because a Dalek is not its protective pepper-shaker armour! A Dalek is the squishy squid thing inside.
So Victorian!Clara is given new memories, but still has echoes of her ‘previous’ life. She ‘remembered’ her nanny days for the Maitland children, and so she became a governess. However her body is still ‘linked’ to her mind, and so she also has a love of baking souffles like Dalek!Clara (not sure what the significance of the souffle is yet, besides a link between Dalek! and Victorian!Clara, but presentday!Clara doesn’t seem to be interested). Victorian!Clara fulfils her role as the impetus for the Doctor to look into Clara’s ‘mystery’ and to find her present day self, and so taking her with him to travel, and so allowing her to be caught, etc (circuitous!)
Clara’s mind and its memories were wiped and given a new identity as Oswin Oswald who had just ‘started her travelling’ when… she ‘crashes’ and is turned into a Dalek. The false identity would explain why, at a genius level of intelligence, Oswin is merely a ‘Junior Entertainment Manager’ for some space cruise ship. As it’s her mind in the Dalek shell, her intelligence remained, though she’s ‘locked’ up in her delusion. Could be the GI/Dalek plan backfiring and failing, but even her delusion could have been a deliberate ruse. The ‘Asylum’, the kidnapping of the Doctor for help, Dalek!Clara’s miraculous saving of the Doctor and wiping the database of the Daleks could all have been a trap, designed to get the Doctor started on this circle of meetings with Clara, of ‘destiny’.
Because the Great Intelligence gleaned the Doctor’s memories, so it could have foreseen the events of Asylum; so who’s to say he didn’t have a backup (literal and figurative) plan for the Daleks? Its memory wasn’t wiped of the Doctor, after all. Who’s to say the Great Intelligence isn’t going to somehow manipulate the HUGE FLEET OF AMNESIAC DALEKS (seriously, is no one going to address this problem?!) into being its army or something? Sneak up when the Doctor is unaware, when he thinks he’s safe from the Daleks.
Whew. My brain hurts.
Basically I keep yelling at them in my head to SHUT THE DOOR!
#waiting… #and there’s not even a SNAP #and she sits there like #hold on he’s excited #he’ll be right back #…and then a couple minutes go by #…and then a couple more #…then from the depths of the TARDIS there’s a loud cloister bell CLANG #ALRIGHT I’LL JUST GET IT THEN SHALL I #and the doors snap shut with a bang #and Sexy locks them spitefully #because once is forgivable #even if it is a London street #among all the false red imposters #it WAS Clara’s first go #but TWICE? #I don’t care if you want back in Clara you didn’t shut the doors #take it up with my thief because I am 1103% done (via nonlinear-nonsubjective)
I WAS THINKING THIS EXACTLY. Pissed me off to no end.
Damnit Clara.
RUDE.

Thinking of people who ‘died’, the only one I can remember is Donna, seeing as Dalek Caan prophesised her ‘death’ at the hands of the Doctor.
I am really excited if it’s Donna! I want her backkkkkk.
[Edit: Rewatched the scene, and yep you guys are right, he meant all the Claras before. How did I not pick up on that? Sigh. Too excited for the Anniversary special.]
… and so sherlock and john never met. the end.
THE SHOW WOULD CONSIST OF JOHN LIMPING AROUND LONDON AT VARIOUS SPEEDS
“Who’d want me for a flatmate?” John asked, completely serious at the notion that anyone would actually want to room with him. He glanced at his old colleague when he heard him chuckling. “What?”
“Nothing, I just remembered a funny joke.” He said with a smile. It probably had something to do with two flatmates or something. John didn’t inquire.
“Oh.” He responded simply, returning his gaze to his cup of coffee. After a few minutes of silence, John looked up to ask Stamford a question but stopped when he saw a curious look on the man’s face. He almost seemed horrified. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” Stamford stuttered. “It’s just…” He seemed to be trying to get a look at John’s back. “I just thought I saw something on your back.”
I cried and my tears were blood.
